We had a great time in Mexico.
I have a picture of me and the frog. Senior Frog that is, shortly before he lead me down the road to ruin. The next thing I knew I was in a conga line, then dancing on the stage with a balloon hat that looked like Playboy bunny ears on.
Karen was impressed, and actually took a couple of pictures, but I wasn't visible in them... PHEW.
Of course blogger's image upload feature is screwed up this morning, and i can't upload pictures.
Matt is doing well.
He's getting anxious to be back in Washington, and we're even more anxious to have him there.
Hope all is well with you, SPC Mark, and the rest of the family.
Mom, MIGHTY MOM, Go visit her also, you won't be sorry. I promise...
I certainly thought of you as we flew over the barren lands of north central Texas, but I never saw a city, or community, when there was a break in the clouds, so I waved in thought.
Puerto Vallarta was very nice, and a welcome respite from work and stress of our every day life.
I have many pictures that I will try to share, soon, but I've got a lot of spring cleaning to do around hog hollow, and don't have time to mess around waiting for blogger to get it's act together.
It seems hard to believe, but (god willing) we will have Matt out of Iraq in five weeks.
14 months ago it was hard to envision this point in our journey, and while I'm no less nervous about the remaining weeks, we at least have something to get a little excited about.
I don't want to forget all of you who have shared kind words, thoughts, prayers and encouragement along the way.
You are all true friends, and will never be forgotten.
