SECRETARY GATES CALLs FOR END TO STOP-LOSS

In searching for more information on this subject which was first pointed out by my friends at

One Percenters

I found that for every article about the end of stop loss, there were two about gays being thrown out of the Army.
Rather strange that they simultaneous keep individuals that want out, and discharge those who want to stay?

On the cover this appears to be great news. but ever the skeptic when it comes to our politicians, I will remain cautiously optimistic.

    Just signed the petition, although I suppose it is moot at this point. Stop loss is another gift from Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld etc. that just keeps on giving.

    Thanks.
    I wouldn't consider it a moot point just yet.
    Two years ago Secretary Gates instructed the Joint Chiefs of Staff to decrease stop-loss, and in the ensuing months they increased it by 43%.
    It remains to be seen what will happen.
