GOD BLESS AMERICA
GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS.

I pray that the day will come that the only way to explain what Memorial Day stands for is through books and movies.

I pray that there will come a day when the oldest of living men will know no person who served this great country in time of war.

On this Memorial Day I hope that everyone will come together and in their own way show respect and gratitude for those walking among us who did their part to allow us the freedom to celebrate this solemn day.
This is a day for putting aside our feelings about the war in Iraq.

Regardless of political affiliation, religious beliefs, sexual preference, we are all Americans.

While celebrating the day with those fortunate to have served, and still be with us, we must not forget those who paid the ultimate price!

A quote I got from an email from the:

Freeport Flag Ladies

"The graves of earth’s best nobleness are where our soldiers lie
Their bodies in the ground are dead but their spirits live on high
The ground is watered with the tears that turned our eyes so red
Walk with slow and cautious feet above their sleeping heads".

Please visit their site. They are true Americans, and heros in my book.

Or those who continue to serve on this vary day!!

If you see a soldier in uniform today, thank him/her for serving our great country.
They will appreciate it more than you can ever know!
