HEROS!!!!

Hero's come in all sizes and shapes.
Pictured below are three ladies that I have never met yet I can tell you that they are hero's.
These ladies spend hours at the Bangor Maine airport sending off our men headed to war.
They don't have to do that, but they do, and that makes them hero's in my book.
What an honorable thing to do.
They make sure that someone is there to send off the men, most of who would have no one.
As a parent of one of the men, I say thank you and god bless.
I'm sure there's a special place in heavan for you!

We all have it in us to be hero's. Yet only a few ever take the time to make it happen.
These ladies are patriots in the truest form of the word.

They are known as the Freeport Flag Ladies.
I urge you to drop them a note to thank them for what they do.MAIL THE LADIES.

To those who have asked to be updated on how Matt is doing. Here is a picture that the Flag Ladies got of him.

That's him dead center with the chow tray.
Like father like son you don't have to worry about him being late for chow!

They are in Kuwait as I write, preparing for their drive north.
In a phone conversation the other night he said it was in the 100s day's and 90s at night.
They sleep in huge tents which are air conditioned, but not climate control, so it gets extremely cold at night.
They have had sand storms, with sand blowing so hard that it embeds in their skin. And thunder storms with downpours that turn the sand into mud.

I'm still working on a blog dedicated to the 2nd Infantry,

4th Styker Brigade, and hope to have it running soon.

Keep them and all the men and women in harms way in your hearts, and prayers.
